Christmas 2014

We did take a lot of great pictures for the Christmas season. We did some professional ones and we also took a bunch on Christmas morning while the baby opened presents. Here are some of the best!

First up we have our holiday pictures in our black, white and red. I had a vision of what I wanted our pictures to look like and they turned out exactly as I had hoped!

During the same photo shoot I also wanted to get Gunnar's 9-month pictures done with his sticker. They turned out awesome as well!!

Back at home Gunnar has been learning to eat solid foods - it's good but scary because he chokes sometimes and then he also has acidy poop whenever he eats new foods...but it's nothing we can't work through :)

I originally had my hand-made tree skirt under the tree but after Gunnar discovered it and started messing with the tassels I had to trade it for the velvet one that's less appealing :P

Sometimes he leans precariously over his toys and I just know it will end badly...but the only way he'll learn is by getting a few bumps.

He's always loved the vacuum but we didn't realize how much until Ramin sat him on it one morning and he stayed there and LOVED it!

Getting into the presents!

Christmas morning - his first gift was the fishing rod I gave to him. It's supposed to be a bath toy - but it's much funner outside of the water.

Next he moved on to the entertainment cabinet, which he was able to open on his own.

After I told him "No" he gave me this look....he definitely knows what "No" means.

Next up we opened presents from Great-Grandma Ceil.

He loved his Santa Dog!

His new laptop - he can open and close it himself, but we have to help him with the buttons.

Grandma Marilee gave him a talking Elmo doll.

And that was our Christmas 2014! I gave Ramin 4 of his favorite movie posters for our dream theater-room in our next house...and he got me a breakfast sandwich maker so I can quickly make an egg sandwich every morning :)

November & December Photo Update

It's been way too long since I've updated the blog again - sorry about that. Baby Gunnar learned to crawl on Thanksgiving and has been keeping us on our toes since then. He's all over the place exploring and making mischief. I'll tell the rest of the story of Gunnar's last 2 months via the pictures below :)

A few days in November my mom was unable to watch Gunnar, so he went over to Jenn and Matt's house. The girls LOVE spending time with him :)

Official 8-month pictures on November 13th!

November was a good month for walking in the brisk air - baby loves riding in his stroller and looking all around.

I went over to my friends house to babysit their little girl, Lydia, one night. She's 15 months old and she loved sharing her toys with Gunnar (for the most part :P)

They also had a kitten that liked to play with Gunnar!

Ramin plays video games when he has free time and Gunnar just can't wait to get his hands on one of the controllers, so Ramin let him have his own (that doesn't work of course)....it's one of his favorites!

Thanksgiving Day 2014! I tried to set up a little photo shoot :) Little did we know what later that evening Gunnar would make his first moves crawling!

During Thanksgiving break I spent a lot of time hanging out with the baby and the dog. Gunnar just loves to play with Belle and she is so very patient with him. She's like a little nanny, always watching out for him and worrying.

We moved up to the big boy car seat over Thanksgiving break as well. It's got a LOT of room to grow and it's MUCH easier to get baby in and out of - although, there's not much clearance on the door so baby tends to bump his head when getting in and out.

Example of crawling around and getting into stuff.

We put up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving - as per usual. We tried to get a good picture of the baby and me, of course Dingo snuck into the background :P

The toy basket was one of the first things Gunnar learned to pull himself up on.

Having fun with daddy!

9-month checkup! Everything went well...baby is growing and is very healthy :) He weighed in at 17.5 pounds and was 26.75 inches tall. He's still small but not too bad for a guy born 2 months early.

More fun with the toy basket.

The weekend before Christmas we exchanged gifts with Jenn and Matt and their girls. They gave Gunnar his very own cell phone!

It's definitely easy to tell that Gunnar is Ramin's child. They even have the same kink in their hair when waking up in the morning....on the right side. It was too funny not to take a picture!

I also found some time to have brunch with my two oldest friends, Stephanie and Jill. It was great seeing them and making new memories!

Finally, my work family took a cute picture together at the eBay Christmas tree - our boss, Chrissey, made it into a cut little card and sent it around to all of the groups we work with - I think it turned out cute!

And then of course we made a silly picture :P
