Leila's Newborn Photos

I really struggled wondering if I should pay for professional newborn photos for Leila or not. I did not pay for them with Gunnar and instead opted to do them myself...but I kind of regretted that even though we had plenty of professional pictures of him at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. But a girl would be different, since there were so many cute dress options to choose from!

So I compromised and told myself I would try the pictures myself first and if I didn't like them I would go and have them done. I'm SO GLAD I made that decision because I'm just in love with how they turned out!!

Jill came over (of course) to help me take the pictures and pose Leila. Baby was such a good girl throughout the entire time - she really cooperated well! We took these pictures her very first week home but it took me quite a few days to actually edit all of them because of how time consuming it can be. I'm pretty proud of myself though for how they turned out!

Leila's First Three Weeks

Leila will be 3 weeks old this Thursday the 7th...but I figured I would make her 3-week post while I have the chance. These are all of the pictures we've taken of her short time with us so far :)

Great Grandma Ceilia sent Gunnar a special big-brother gift for when Leila was born. He has a new shirt AND a special winter hate she made for him! BTW, Gunnar loves sitting with mommy's nursing pillow when Leila isn't eating :P

Dad recreated one of my favorite pictures from when Gunnar was little - both babies are wearing the same outfit (and so is dad).

Mom actually got dressed and had to take some cute pictures with Leila. This was the day we headed back to the hospital for another hearing test because she failed the first one - don't worry, she passed the second time - she must have just had stuff in her ears :P
